10 Steps Towards A Good Night’s Sleep
You’re tired as hell yet you lie there on the bed, tossing and turning all night, thinking why can’t you just faint instead! *Desperate times* To make things even worse, your alarm starts banging your head with its not so sweet ‘ring ring’ or ‘co-coo’ right when you’re about to hit the land of peace. And your heart screams in agony! The final result – you start depending on those creepy sleeping pills 😐 Well honey, you don’t have to.. You don’t need a doctor to fix you either! Trust me, it’s easier than you think
Just follow these 10 simple steps and notice the sleepy change in 3 days!
Step 1: Get rid of all the work before bed time. Plus, do try to get to bed a bit early. Step 2: Take a nice warm bath. This allows your muscles to relax before you hit the bed! Step 3: Wear a comfortable night dress. Please get rid of your jeans! It’s not meant to be worn at all times 😐 Step 4: Crawl into your bed after putting away your phone! Yes, your smartphone is a huge barrier between you and peaceful sleep. But if you still feel like using it for a few minutes before bed (to check mails or Facebook), I suggest you install an app like BlueLight Filter. It provides a protective dim layer on your screen which protects your eyes from getting wary. Step 5: Start a 15 minute mind clearing ritual. You, paper and pen! Scribble everything that’s going on inside your head. Or you can even make a doodle version of your boss 😀
Step 6: Forgive everyone before you sleep. Everyone has a negative side, you just have to forgive that side and learn to admire the other one. Step 7: Thank God for everything you have Say a little prayer in your heart, smile at Him and sleep. (I usually get drowsy on the 6th step, so don’t feel guilty if you can’t make it to step 7 every night 😀 ) Step 8: Eat it right! Try not to have a heavy meal before bed. Steps 8, 9 & 10 are actually ‘pre-sleeping’ steps and you must follow them religiously. Step 9: Drink 9 – 12 glasses of water a day!
